Matt Doornink (Cottage Grove, MN) is entering his first year as the pitching coach of Minnesota Post Grad. Doornink is currently the pitching coordinator for Great Lakes Baseball Academy, he has also coached the St. Paul Park American Legion baseball team since 2009, and is a member on the River Falls Baseball Council. During the course of his coaching career, he has helped a number of players reach the collegiate level.
Doornink holds pitching certifications form Rapsodo, is a Savage Certified pitching coach from the Florida Baseball Ranch, and is currently working towards his NESTA certification in biomechanics. Throughout his coaching career, Doornink and his programming has significantly helped improve pitchers at all levels increase strength, velocity and health.
A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stout. During his career as a Blue Devil, Doornink pitched four seasons earning All-WIAC Conference honors in 2007. Doornink set the conference record for appearances in a season and is the career leader in school history in strikeouts, season and career appearances.
